The best way to know about the quality of your food is to know where it comes from. Archie’s uncle rears Aberdeen Angus locally at Fifield Farm and the beef served in our restaurant is hung for 28 days to bring out its true flavour. We also have personal contact with all the gamekeepers in the area. Pork, lamb and poultry, meanwhile, are ordered from Martin’s Meat of Cirencester, who are able to offer full traceability. Other trusted suppliers include the family-run Upton Smokery near Burford and A M Bailey of Evesham and even our cheeseboard features local ‘Windrush’ organic produce from Daylesford. Of course, for fish, we have to go a little further
afield. Fresh catches arrive daily from Devon and Cornwall and make a
huge difference to the taste experience that our guests enjoy. And whenever
you stop off for lunch or dinner, you can be sure of imaginative, seasonal
dishes that are produced from some of the finest ingredients.
