Everyone enjoys good food, but no one wants their favourite local pub to become too distracted or pretentious. At The Swan, we like to think we have found the perfect balance and were thrilled when the Good Pub Guide agreed – naming us as Oxfordshire County Dining Pub of the Year in their 2009 edition.

We believe in serving high-quality, seasonal dishes sourced from the local area. The strong reputation we’ve established for our food means a great deal to us – as does the willingness of some of our guests to travel long distances to join us for lunch on the borders of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

As well as being known for our attention to detail both in the kitchen and the restaurant itself, we’re meticulous about where we purchase our food. The raw ingredients are every bit as important as the finished product.
